Situated in the heart of the Cumbrian seaside town of Maryport, Her Citi is a favourite refreshment hotspot for locals and visitors alike. Pass by to try our homemade delights, perhaps grab a tea, coffee of something stronger, and/or come to explore our shabby-chic collection of interiors, locally-sourced jams, and fashionable accessories.
After a few too many glasses of wine, Debbie had the wild idea of opening a lifestyle cafe in the North West. Headng to Maryport she immediately felt at home and soon launched Her Citi.
Debbie's brother Jonny was in town lending a hand while they stumbled upon some rather fabulous old signage letters in blue... wanting to use them again, they jumbled up the letters until they read: Her Citi. And this is how we were officially named.
Opening to the thirsty throngs of local society in July 2006, we've gained a lovely clientele with some of the town's biggest, and most experienced, characters.
By Maryport's unofficial 'summer of love' in 2007 we'd launched regular live music sessions including jazz, blues, and all kinds of funkiness from some talented locals...
By the hedonistic days of 2009, we'd catered for several external events throughout the area and would be happy to help at your event too.

Seeing as it is 2017 and all - we've gone all 2.0 ... we decided the website overhaul couldn't wait further. Bribing a local web geek with coffee, we made stuff happen.
"Her Citi is certainly the best cafe in Maryport and the only one which serves proper expresso. The food is freshly homemade and tasty. Whilst it is located in the centre of perhaps not the most prosperous town (albeit Georgian) in the environs of the Lake district it is a tribute to Debbie and Dave that they are able to sustain their standards which are high... When in the area it would be a shame, in my opionion, if you did not visit this treasure; I'm sure you won't be disappointed."
“Debbie and Dave run the best cafe in town, I've enjoyed themed nights, afternoon tea, birthday parties and each one has been gorgeous! Home made food and brilliant service, strongly recommend. ”
